KENTUCKY

Willett Distillery is planning to construct a distillery on a 150-acre site in Springfield. The project scope includes construction of a 70,000-sq-ft building as well as the purchase and installation of stainless steel tanks and piping, along with milling, mashing, and fermentation equipment. MAINE

Highland Pellets LLC is planning to establish a wood pellet production facility at One North, the former Great Northern paper mill site, in Millinocket. The project scope includes renovation and/or design and construction of building space; and purchase and installation of wood waste receiving and handling equipment, bucket elevators, coolers, storage silos, screens, hammer and pellet mills, rotary dryers, boilers, and dust collection systems. MASSACHUSETTS

Clean-Seas Inc. is planning to construct a plastic waste-to-fuels plant at the MacVallee LLC recycling facility site in Templeton. The project scope includes design and construction of building space; and purchase and installation of pyrolysis reactors, hydrogen storage tanks, and compressors. The plant will have the capacity to process 50 tons of plastic waste per day to produce precursors for plastics, ultra-low sulfur fuels, pyrolysis oils and hydrogen. INDIANA

Soulbrain MI is planning to construct an electrolyte manufacturing plant on a 22-acre site in Kokomo. The project scope includes construction of a 30,000-sq-ft building; and purchase and installation of process vessels, reactors, heat exchangers, distillation columns, purification, filtration, mixing, and supporting processes, and electrical and mechanical equipment. Construction is expected to begin in March 2023. Soulbrain will use the plant to produce high purity liquid electrolytes for use in electric vehicle batteries. The estimated EPC cost is $75 million.
