Harvest Midstream Co. is planning to construct a liquefied natural gas plant near Deadhorse. The project scope includes construction of building space and equipment foundations; and purchase and installation of gas processing and liquefaction units, storage tanks, process piping, and truck loadout and supporting equipment. The plant will have the capacity to process 15 million cu ft of natural gas per day to produce 150,000 gallons of LNG per day that will be trucked to Interior Gas Utility’s service areas in Fairbanks and North Pole. Construction is expected to begin in mid-2023. Harvest Midstream is a subsidiary of Hilcorp Energy Co. The estimated EPC cost is between $100 million and $150 million. ARIZONA

JA Solar is planning to construct a solar panel manufacturing plant at GO|99 South in Phoenix. The project scope includes fitout of a 763,000-sq-ft building; installation of laser marking, cutting, storage, stringer machining, bussing, testing, laminating, trimming, packing and sorting equipment. The plant will have the capacity to produce two gigawatts of solar power per year. Willmeng Construction has been selected to provide design-build services for the project. Construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2023. JA Solar will use the plant to produce half-cell and bifacial half-cell double glass photovoltaic solar panels for the residential, commercial and utility markets. California Steel Industries Inc. is planning to construct a steel galvanizing line at its mill in Fontana. The project scope includes construction of building space and equipment foundations; erection of structural steel; and purchase and installation of a galvanizing line, chemical storage tanks, overhead cranes and air emissions control equipment. The line will have the capacity to galvanize 400,000 tons of steel per year for the construction industry.
