Gensler has been selected as ENR Northwest's Design Firm of the Year 2023.

The firm's steady regional growth took a jump last year with its $51.4 million in revenue, 33% over 2021. Last year, Gensler saw its largest increase in work with sciences-based clients – both in spec lab buildings and in laboratory interiors. Additionally, the firm continued to deliver office interior projects for key clients, designed to address the post-COVID return to in-person work.

Among the firm’s major recent projects are the 1 million-sq-ft T-Mobile Headquarters Campus in Bellevue, Wash., where it handled master planning, brand design, workplace interiors and core and shell renovation, and the 82,000-sq-ft citizenM Seattle South Lake Union in Seattle for which it managed architecture core and shell, climate action and planning.

Gensler has comprehensive programs for diversity and inclusion as well as a five step strategy for fighting racism within the company and in all business efforts. The firm partners with the National Organization of Minority Architects and participates in the ACE Mentor Program.

In Washington State, its community outreach efforts include collections and donations for Plymouth House, mural design and painting for Facing Homelessness and volunteering with Sawhorse Revolution, We Care. In Oregon, Gensler completed a 10,000-sq-ft pro bono project – Rose Haven Day Shelter and Community Center and is assisting in design of temporary/pop-up homeless shelters for Dignity Moves.
