Active Senior Builders LLC is planning to build Celebration Village Snellville Senior Living Community, a 413-unit, 657,000-sq-ft complex in Lawrenceville. It will include 128 active adult homes in duplex configurations; 80 independent living units in two 4-story buildings totaling 115,000 sq ft; 112 concierge living units in two 3-story buildings totaling 105,000 sq ft; 62 assisted-living units and 31 memory care units in a 75,000-sq-ft, 3-story building; a single-story 30,000-sq-ft amenity and clubhouse area; two retail buildings comprising about 30,000 sq ft; an 18,000-sq-ft office building and a swimming pool. It is being designed by Nelson (formerly Wakefield Beasley Associates) and the project is valued at $121 million. Construction is expected to start in September 2023. MISSOURI

Cargill Inc. is planning to construct a soybean crush plant in Pemiscot County near Hayti and Caruthersville. It will have an annual production capacity of 62 million bushels of soybeans. NEVADA

The Clark County School District is planning to build South Career and Technical Academy, a high school, on the corner of Placid Street and Via Nobila in Henderson. The two-story, 260,000-sq-ft building will accommodate 1,800 students. It is being designed by Simpson Coulter Studio, and the Penta Building Group has been selected as the construction manager. NEW JERSEY

Togus Urban Renewal LLC is planning to construct 1888 Studios, a 1.5-million-sq-ft motion picture and television studio, on a 70-acre waterfront site at Bergen Point in Bayonne. The 17-building campus will include studio sound stage buildings and workshop/mill buildings, where the stage sets will be constructed and stored. It will include a five-story, above-ground parking garage and other parking spaces across the site. The site will be increased in elevation to address potential flooding. Gensler has been selected as the architect, and Turner Construction Co. was chosen as the general contractor. Construction is expected to start in June 2023 and be completed by May 2025. TENNESSEE

The Tennessee Dept. of Environment and Conservation is planning to carry out Phase II of the Savage Gulf State Park improvements. Phase II entails construction of additional campsites, bathing and restroom facilities, a new boat rental facility with a fishing pier and kayak boat launch, new pavilions, parking lots and roads. ARKANSAS

Voith Hydro Inc. has started carrying out the turbine rehabilitation and generator rewind project at the Norfolk Dam Powerhouse in Salesville. The two turbine-generator units, each with 31.3 MW of capacity, were installed in the early 1940s. Upon the project’s completion, each will have a capacity of 46.5 MW, and the quality of the water below the dam will be improved via the use of dissolved oxygen enhancement technology. WYOMING

HK Contractors Inc. has started constructing a Yellowstone River Bridge in Yellowstone National Park. The 1,285-ft-long, 175-ft-high steel-girder bridge will have drilled shafts and concrete decking. The work includes demolition of the existing steel-girder bridge upon completion of the new structure. The project owner is the Federal Highway Administration. 6/8 The Colorado Dept. of Transportation is seeking bidders to carry out a resurfacing project to Interstate 70 eastbound in Clear Creek County. The project entails resurfacing the roadway from milepost 223 to 228.35 and from milepost 231.3 to 231.9. The project is valued at between $5 million and $20 million. It has been designed by ZGF Architects. The project includes demolition of existing buildings, adaptive reuse of existing buildings and new construction.
